Volvo Penta TAMD120A 343hp Bobtail Marine Diesel Engine

Volvo Penta TAMD120A 343hp @ 2200RPM Turbo Aftercooled Heat Exchanger Cooled Bobtail Marine Diesel Engine.

This engine is in superb condition for its age and has spent its life as the main engine on a large sail training ship and has only been replaced to meet new emissions requirements for operating in certain countries.

The engine was fully overhauled in 2013 with a significant amount of money spent and has run relatively low hours since.

The engine has been run at our workshops and can be offered in “as removed” condition or fully repainted and serviced dependant on buyers requirements.

This engine does not presently have an alternator fitted and has never had one as the ship was fitted with 2 large generators to provide power. We can however provide all the necessary components from Volvo Penta and fit a suitable alternator if required.

Please note that the 5:1 reduction gearbox shown in the pictures is not included and was reused with the new engine.
