Volvo Penta MD40A 85hp Six Cylinder Naturally Aspirated Heat Exchanger Cooled Marine Diesel Engine With Volvo Penta MS3A Gearbox and Original Control Panel.
Taken in PX against a smaller engine as the vessel was being relocated to inland waterways and did not require such a large engine.
It was removed with just over 2000hrs running time and in good running order. Starts and runs nicely from cold and being six cylinder, very smooth indeed. Test run by our workshops and found to be in good order. The original plastic air filter assembly was in poor condition and has been replaced with a much better quality metal unit as used on the later MD31 and MD41 models.
Now serviced and packaged ready for delivery to her next owner.
