Perkins 4236 85hp Four Cylinder Naturally Aspirated Heat Exchanger Cooled Marine Diesel Engine With Borg Warner 2:1 Hydraulic Gearbox. 24V Electrics.
Removed from a large blue water yacht which was being repowered to head out on her next Atlantic circuit. Running hours approx. 5500.
In good running order when removed and had motored the boat all the way back from Spain to the UK in one continuous trip.
The engine has been tested by our workshops with no faults noted. It has since been serviced and painted, ready for more work.
The Perkins 4236 is well known to be an extremely robust engine and is why it was the engine of choice for many smaller Massey Ferguson tractors during the 70s, 80s and 90s.
The engine is currently fitted with 24V electrics but could be converted to 12v by changing starter, alternator and instrument senders which can be carried out by separate negotiation if required.
